This Christmas, certify your Telegram chats with GoCertius

Great news! Our GoCertius app is expanding to include a “Certified Chat” option in Telegram and the “GoCertius Lottery Agreement” is the first example of its use.

📱 How does it work?

The custodian of the ticket (or tickets, if more than one) sets up a Telegram chat channel using the GoCertius app.

The channel takes a few moments to set up and then, by clicking again on My Chats, you will see the newly created channel.

Go to “Open in Telegram” and go into the new channel.

The channel has 3 participants to start with: The “Owner” EADTrust; Certy, the bot that creates a record of all messages; and the user that created the chat.

Now you can invite other participants to the channel.

First you need to explain the reason for creating the channel. Once everyone has registered in the channel, the text of the contract and a photo of the lottery tickets(s) is added and participants are polled to obtain their consent.

To run a poll, click on the paperclip icon at the bottom of the Telegram screen and then on the Poll icon.

With the Certified Chat feature, every message, file or poll is registered with an eIDAS-compliant qualified time stamp and the certification option is available to all participants.

🎯 Why is this important?

Messaging platforms form part of our daily lives. Now, using regulated digital trust services built into these channels, you can give them legal force in the event you need to resort to dispute resolution (negotiation, conciliation, mediation, arbitration or the courts), creating a record of what was agreed to and avoiding misunderstandings by ensuring that all parties are on the same page.
